WALT: Write a descriptive piece of writing As I get ready to get on the seat a huge rush of adrenaline went through me. I was excited and nervous at the same time but as I sat down on the flying fox chair it all went away and I felt nice and calm. He asked “Permission to launch?”. They said “Is the seatbelt on, Is the hook off, is the rope away.” Phil said yes all 3 times. He asked if my legs were up. I said “Yeah why” and all of a sudden I was flying through the air over 30 K’s an hour. Riley, Reid and Zachary were waving as I went by. I see this huge wooden pole right in front of me and I think i’m gonna hit it but I start going backwards and I zoom back to where everyone was. It stops for a second and then I start traveling forwards again but at about 10 - 13 K’s an hour. I see the pole again. I start going backwards again but this time Tony lets me out the seat and the excitement goes away.

WALT: Write a descriptive peace of writing Imagine, sitting in the shade on nice hot day in front of clear water lapping over each other over and over again. The cool breeze is sailing past me calmly. The birds are chirping away like two ladies at a tea party. The kids are swimming and playing in the water and looking for crabs and fish. The smell of hot chips with ribs and a salad. The sound of the seagulls that are eyeing the chips. I look behind me and there my friends racing to see who gets here first because there was a seat let and on it it had a gift for them. We all hop in the water and it felt like sinking in 12 dozen clouds. It so refreshing and cooling. In the distance we can see a pod of dolphins playing with the fish by chucking them in the air and then another one jumping it in the air. We were thinking that was why there was no fish up here. We get called in for lunch. It was fish and chips with pomegranate juice. We were sitting under the shade because the sun was...

WALT: Show not Tell , Describe the scene “CRUNCH, CRUNCH” I was on my own in the deep dark forest with the leaves falling heavily on my head . My heart sank to the bottom of my body.  I heard a big BANG and then a black cloud came from the bush like it was a boobie trap . I ran like a lion was chasing me to see what it was. It was something big, grey and rusty with a marking that I had on my body.

WALT: Show not tell WALT: Use more descriptive language I was walking in the forest and my eyes opened wide. Something was in the trees . It started to sway side to side, back and forward over and over again . It looked so comfortable. I didn’t stop staring at it until I saw a ladder that looked like it lead up to it. I climbed up it and there were Pillows on it with thick black blankets . There was a big furry thing on it and it had its hands out like it wanted to cuddle me.

WALT: Show not Tell WALT: Describe the Scene Everyone was having a good time until the sky went black  then the sun went black. It made everybody run around like a headless chickens madly. There was something dangling off it. It was green and had things falling out of it everywhere. People started to wonder what that was and who that was?
