On the 6 Wednesday of August We went to Wester Maths in Hokitika. We came 2nd because we past 3 and the first team only past 2. Here are some photos of the people that came 2nd and all the people that came and had fun.

Walt: Write an Explanation In writing we were working on explanations and we allowed to write it on whatever we wanted. I wrote on how tornadoes are formed because it was a thing that I have been wondering for a very long time. I have always been interested in tornadoes and how strong they can get and how much damage they can do to buildings and landscapes. Here is my writing. Tornadoes are formed during thunderstorms. A tornado is a destructive vortex of violently rotating winds that have a look of a funnel-shaped cloud and it advances under large storms and get bigger as they go. Tornadoes are one of the most violent storms. You need warm and cool. When these two airs mix then they create a strong twirling wind that can destroy mostly everything that is in it’s way and they cannot be stopped. I interviewed my Granny in Sout Arfica by email and this is what she said... How has technology changed over the years: In leaps and bounds. We had an old farm line telephone. Ten people on one line. Each person had their own ring ie 1 short 2 long, or three short. We also had the nosey people who used to pick up even when the call was not for them and they used to listen in to other peoples conversations). What was the first bit of technology you knew about: The radio Did you like the old technology: Old technology was good in some ways as people used to communicate and spend more time with each other.
