Sewell Peak was a metaphoric introduction for all the year 10’s into NCEA for next year. It is saying that going through level 1,2,3 will be challenging but once you make it to the end it will all be worth it, all the pain, sweat and tears that were shed were all for a good reason. Once we started the walk we all knew what we were heading into, a steep hill with a good view at the top and we all knew that we were going to struggle going up. But I found that if you don’t focus on the pain and just look at the nature around you, you will enjoy the walk and find it more of a brisk walk than a challenging hike. At the bottom of the walk we found that the trees were really diverse and were going to different heights but as we got higher the trees started to deplete and become more shorter and than becoming shrubs and bushes. Pilot survey

I completed a pilot survey that trialled students from my math class MAS212. I have collected feedback which has helped me reflect on the questions I have used and how I have worded my questions. The feedback that I have collected: The feedback has helped me understand that I need to have more options for someone's ethnicity as I have only given a few options towards it. I will add in more options for someone to chose from and this will allow them to feel more comfortable with answering the questionnaire The graph showed me that Lake Brunner's website may be easy to understand and that there is a small number of things that they may want to change.

Explanation on Tornadoes

Walt: Write an Explanation In writing we were working on explanations and we allowed to write it on whatever we wanted. I wrote on how tornadoes are formed because it was a thing that I have been wondering for a very long time. I have always been interested in tornadoes and how strong they can get and how much damage they can do to buildings and landscapes. Here is my writing. Tornadoes are formed during thunderstorms. A tornado is a destructive vortex of violently rotating winds that have a look of a funnel-shaped cloud and it advances under large storms and get bigger as they go. Tornadoes are one of the most violent storms. You need warm and cool. When these two airs mix then they create a strong twirling wind that can destroy mostly everything that is in it’s way and they cannot be stopped.
