Paragraph:
In WWII there were a huge majority of the worlds countries(102) fought for
freedom and to stop Hitler from killing the Jews and changing history for the
worst. A majority of the worlds countries fought against Germany and they
came out victorious but with many casualties. In this war more than 70
million people had died fighting for their countries. It went for 6 years and
they always stopped on Christmas to have a day off and have a brake.
In the Iraq war more than 5.4 million have been kicked out of their homes
since 2014 when the war started to hit a critical level. In between 150,000
- 460,000 people have been killed fleeing or fighting against the enemies.
It has been going for 15 years straight and and none of them have stopped.
They have just been fighting to get their way.
Mass Atrocities
There are three Mass Atrocity crimes that can be committed:
Crimes against humanity
Genocide
War Crimes
  1. Crimes against humanity is where people go on a widespread killing
or killing just certain people. Unlike war crimes these attacks can be perpetrated
through peaceful times.
  1. Genocide is a deliberate killing of a certain ethnic groups or just a certain
type of people like Christians or Coloured people.
  1. War Crimes are defined by killing that will be taken to International Criminal
Court. For the people to go there they have to commit Willful killings or inhumane
torture to hurt someone’s bodily health.

My Holiday Incident

One fine and hot day I was going to eat lunch and then mow the lawn. But then I went all lethargic and fell on the ground. My mom was trying to talk to me but I was not responding to her. My mom went to the phone and rang the doctors and they said to go to the hospital. So she rang the hospital and they came over to our house. They finger pricked me and tried to talk to me but I still didn't respond to them. They took me to the ambulance and I got a ride in it. I felt really terrified and scared like mad when I hopped into the ambulance and my hart was beating so fast that it felt like it was going to blow up. It was not long until we got to the hospital. They put me on a wheelchair and took me to a bed and the doctors gave me a headache tablet and I went to sleep for 4 hours and then I woke up and they gave me some food to eat. Sewell Peak

Sewell Peak was a metaphoric introduction for all the year 10’s into NCEA for next year. It is saying that going through level 1,2,3 will be challenging but once you make it to the end it will all be worth it, all the pain, sweat and tears that were shed were all for a good reason. Once we started the walk we all knew what we were heading into, a steep hill with a good view at the top and we all knew that we were going to struggle going up. But I found that if you don’t focus on the pain and just look at the nature around you, you will enjoy the walk and find it more of a brisk walk than a challenging hike. At the bottom of the walk we found that the trees were really diverse and were going to different heights but as we got higher the trees started to deplete and become more shorter and than becoming shrubs and bushes.
