In writing today we have been reading and learning about what happens when you sleep. Miss Power shared 3 links to different bits of information for us to read  and take notes from for our own writing. We discussed some key ideas and started writing down our ideas. I have only just started with my first key idea. Here it is. The Advantages of sleep. When it becomes night time everyone needs to get a good night's sleep. Because if you do sleep you won't get grumpy. If you don't sleep for a few days you will start to forget things that you need to know. After not sleeping for more than 5 day you start to hallucinate. that is why everyone needs to get a goodnight sleep.

Walt: Write an Explanation In writing we were working on explanations and we allowed to write it on whatever we wanted. I wrote on how tornadoes are formed because it was a thing that I have been wondering for a very long time. I have always been interested in tornadoes and how strong they can get and how much damage they can do to buildings and landscapes. Here is my writing. Tornadoes are formed during thunderstorms. A tornado is a destructive vortex of violently rotating winds that have a look of a funnel-shaped cloud and it advances under large storms and get bigger as they go. Tornadoes are one of the most violent storms. You need warm and cool. When these two airs mix then they create a strong twirling wind that can destroy mostly everything that is in it’s way and they cannot be stopped. This week I wasn't here for 3 days but I still done my work. This was My Revision that I done. It was quite difficult. I got there in the end but it took me along time. Activity 1 we had to find the area of a rectangle prism. It was quite hard but then I figured why I don't try multiplying them. Activity 2 was just to find the area of a rectangle. this was quite easy because I've done it before. These are the answers for both of the activities.  For availll we are doing Charlottes Web. This is what I have done so far. We done "Take a dictionary to the movies." That is when the movie gets paused and then we find the hardest word and then find it in the dictionary and find the meaning. This is activity 1 We had to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers in our maths books. It didn't take me long to finish it but then I got a few wrong so I went back and found out the right answers. This was activity 2. We had to convert improper fractions. WALT: USE STORY STARTERS IN THE DARK As we look through the window our hope turned into shock. We started running away from the window. It just Zachary, Reid, Riley.F, Riley.L and I, (Byron) were hiding for our lives because outside the old Castle was monsters coming to get us. We don’t know why but all we know is that we have to hide. It was a dark and stormy night, thunder was cackling like mad and the lightning was lighting up the place. We see something in the distance, Then when lightning flashed it was gone. When we looked we saw a lot of hair all over Riley .F and he was going really long nails. WALT: Write 10 lies about our self's I’ve got scar on my arm because a lion attacked me when I was a baby. I get burnt easily because I went in space and touched the sun caught on fire. I’m a good swimmer because when I was a baby I was abducted by Mermaids. I love Star Wars because my friend was secretly Obi-Wan-Kenobi and he trained me. I’m funny because my Mum was a secret clown going around the town. I am so lazy because my brother was a couch potato and fed himself to me. I love listening to NCS because when I was young i was forced to listen to songs in the basement for 1 year. I am really good at roleplaying games because I am secret actor that performs in Hollywood every night. I am strong because I was told to push down trees and move mountains around when I was a child. I am attracted to shiny things because my granny married a leprechaun and became rich.

WALT: Write a descriptive piece of writing As I get ready to get on the seat a huge rush of adrenaline went through me. I was excited and nervous at the same time but as I sat down on the flying fox chair it all went away and I felt nice and calm. He asked “Permission to launch?”. They said “Is the seatbelt on, Is the hook off, is the rope away.” Phil said yes all 3 times. He asked if my legs were up. I said “Yeah why” and all of a sudden I was flying through the air over 30 K’s an hour. Riley, Reid and Zachary were waving as I went by. I see this huge wooden pole right in front of me and I think i’m gonna hit it but I start going backwards and I zoom back to where everyone was. It stops for a second and then I start traveling forwards again but at about 10 - 13 K’s an hour. I see the pole again. I start going backwards again but this time Tony lets me out the seat and the excitement goes away.

WALT: Write a descriptive peace of writing Imagine, sitting in the shade on nice hot day in front of clear water lapping over each other over and over again. The cool breeze is sailing past me calmly. The birds are chirping away like two ladies at a tea party. The kids are swimming and playing in the water and looking for crabs and fish. The smell of hot chips with ribs and a salad. The sound of the seagulls that are eyeing the chips. I look behind me and there my friends racing to see who gets here first because there was a seat let and on it it had a gift for them. We all hop in the water and it felt like sinking in 12 dozen clouds. It so refreshing and cooling. In the distance we can see a pod of dolphins playing with the fish by chucking them in the air and then another one jumping it in the air. We were thinking that was why there was no fish up here.
