WALT: Write a descriptive piece of writing

As I get ready to get on the seat a huge rush of adrenaline went through me. I was excited and nervous at the same time but as I sat down on the flying fox chair it all went away and I felt nice and calm. He asked “Permission to launch?”. They said “Is the seatbelt on, Is the hook off, is the rope away.” Phil said yes all 3 times. He asked if my legs were up. I said “Yeah why” and all of a sudden I was flying through the air over 30 K’s an hour. Riley, Reid and Zachary were waving as I went by. I see this huge wooden pole right in front of me and I think i’m gonna hit it but I start going backwards and I zoom back to where everyone was. It stops for a second and then I start traveling forwards again but at about 10 - 13 K’s an hour. I see the pole again. I start going backwards again but this time Tony lets me out the seat and the excitement goes away.

One fine and hot day I was going to eat lunch and then mow the lawn. But then I went all lethargic and fell on the ground. My mom was trying to talk to me but I was not responding to her. My mom went to the phone and rang the doctors and they said to go to the hospital. So she rang the hospital and they came over to our house. They finger pricked me and tried to talk to me but I still didn't respond to them. They took me to the ambulance and I got a ride in it. I felt really terrified and scared like mad when I hopped into the ambulance and my hart was beating so fast that it felt like it was going to blow up. It was not long until we got to the hospital. They put me on a wheelchair and took me to a bed and the doctors gave me a headache tablet and I went to sleep for 4 hours and then I woke up and they gave me some food to eat. I am making a dest review so that I am able to check my work to make sure that it is up to date. I am doing this to make sure that my questionnaire is clear and easy to complete and to make sure that anyone will be able to do it. I need to make sure that my questions are not biased in any way and that it doesn't make the tester uncomfortable to answer. OK? Sewell Peak

Sewell Peak was a metaphoric introduction for all the year 10’s into NCEA for next year. It is saying that going through level 1,2,3 will be challenging but once you make it to the end it will all be worth it, all the pain, sweat and tears that were shed were all for a good reason. Once we started the walk we all knew what we were heading into, a steep hill with a good view at the top and we all knew that we were going to struggle going up. But I found that if you don’t focus on the pain and just look at the nature around you, you will enjoy the walk and find it more of a brisk walk than a challenging hike. At the bottom of the walk we found that the trees were really diverse and were going to different heights but as we got higher the trees started to deplete and become more shorter and than becoming shrubs and bushes.
